Refund Policy

Last updated · 6 October 2026

When the studio refunds a payment, how to ask for one, and how long the money takes to come back.

What this covers

This policy covers money paid to G-Studio: deposits and fees for project work, and any paid product or licence bought from the studio. If a proposal, an invoice or a product page states different refund terms, those terms apply to that purchase.

Before a project starts

A deposit is refunded in full if you cancel before work begins. Say so by email, and the money goes back the way it came.

After a project starts

Once work has begun, the studio refunds the part of the fee that has not been earned: what you paid, minus the work already delivered and any third-party cost already committed on your behalf — a domain, a licence, a subscription bought for the project. Milestones delivered and accepted are not refundable.

Paid products

If a paid product does not work as described and the studio cannot put it right, say so within 14 days of buying it and the payment is refunded in full. Most of the studio’s products are free and open source, so this clause usually has nothing to apply to.

How to ask

Email [email protected] with the invoice or order reference and a line about what went wrong. The studio answers within three business days, and a refund that is agreed is paid back to the original payment method within 14 days of that answer.

What is not refunded

Some things sit outside a refund, because the cost has already been incurred or the work has already been handed over.

  • Work that has been delivered and accepted.
  • Third-party costs already paid on your behalf — domains, licences, subscriptions.
  • A product bought more than 14 days ago that works as described.

Before a chargeback

If something is wrong, write to the studio first. A refund agreed by email is almost always faster than a chargeback through your bank or card issuer, and it leaves the two of you on better terms.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy removes a right the law gives you — including the Malaysian Consumer Protection Act 1999 and, for consumers in the EU or the UK, your statutory rights on digital content and services.
